Belting and Conveyor

TCI’s belting materials for food and packaging are designed to meet the challenges of temperature, corrosion, and wear and tear in order to minimize costly downtime and maximize run time. TCI offers belting materials for use in sealing machines, contact grilling applications, industrial conveying, and food processing.

TCI belting materials feature corrosion-resistance and compliance with the FDA Standard 21 CFR 177.1550 for food contact. These materials are compatible with any chemical environment, are easy to clean, and unaffected by cleaning chemicals.

CrossFilm™ Food Belting

TCI's CrossFilm™ food belts are designed from an all-PTFE material for contact grilling applications. The unique multidirectional strength and stress-crack resistance of CrossFilm™ allow it to be a self-supporting material, removing the need for reinforcements like fiberglass which are susceptible to chemical attack. 100% PTFE CrossFilm™ eliminates the concern of corrosion, ensuring TCI's food belts maintain a reliable and predictable performance for challenging chemical/thermal environments. This can reduce costly and unplanned down-time from random belt failure. CrossFilm™ has tremendous flexing capability, easily outlasting fiberglass reinforced materials and other PTFE products in high flex applications. The flexible, tear resistant material is available in thicknesses ranging from 0.015" (0.38 mm) to 0.018" (0.46 mm).

Filmlam™ Food Belting

Filmlam™ food belting is a PTFE film laminate for industrial and food applications. PTFE films are laminated to each side of a PTFE-coated fiberglass reinforcement to create a material with proven film lamination and coating technology. Filmlam™ can be engineered with many film variations to allow for changes in properties such as heat transfer, release capability, and wear resistance. Filmlam™ has lower permeation and better resistance to grease wicking than coated products.

Hybrid™ Food Belting

TCI Hybrid™ laminated PTFE/fiberglass conveyor belts are designed to survive severe oil exposure and mechanical wear and tear in food stamping and other contact conveying processes. With adhesion properties significantly better than typical PTFE-coated fiberglass materials, Hybrid™ belting products will not delaminate or blister.

CrossFilm™ Conveyor

TCI's all-PTFE CrossFilm™ conveyor belts are FDA and USDA-approved for food contact and provide exceptional transfer of product around very small diameter rolls. Our rugged, pre-spliced belt is designed to slip on the machine in minutes and last for months while in service. Since it does not contain hinges like a plastic modular belt, the CrossFilm™ conveyor belt can be cleaned in minutes and does not require soaking. The absence of metal allows it to be an ideal replacement for wire belts. A CrossFilm™ conveyor belt will avoid grease transfer contamination to food caused by stainless rubbing on stainless in a wire belt. It also will not break and destroy other belts in contact with it. A pin drive system drives and tracks the belt without slipping. The CrossFilm™ conveyor belt is reversible, long-lasting, and is a fraction of the price of plastic modular and wire belts.

TCI's Hybrid™ PTFE/fiberglass composite belting material is the first new product to be introduced to the tortilla industry in 20 years, proving itself to be the highest quality and longest lasting material available. Our Hybrid™ belts minimize blistering and can survive the oil and liquid exposure during the stamping and conveying process. The unique textured surface grabs the food while also maintaining excellent release properties.
