CrossFilm™ flexible connectors and bellows are made with a multi-layered, 100% PTFE material in order to withstand chemical attacks, even in the most corrosive environments. TCI flexible connecters are designed for use when a flexible joint, sleeve, or connection are required or when transferring materials which contain solvents, caustics, and acids or involving elevated temperatures. CrossFilm™ flexible connectors are ideally suited for corrosive or high temperature environments, including chemical manufacturing and delicate weighing applications. All-PTFE CrossFilm™ can be heat-sealed to avoid stitching and, unlike fiberglass-reinforced materials which can become porous, it remains non-porous even after severe flexing.
Available in round and rectangular shapes and in open-ended or closed form, CrossFilm™ flexible connectors can incorporate numerous types of end attachments. TCI flexible connectors can be fitted to pneumatically-operated cylinders in a manufacturing environment or a flange connection on a pipeline that must be protected from environmental exposure. They are also available with or without pigment and anti-static properties. CrossFilm™ is rated for use at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C) and is available in thicknesses ranging from 5 mils to 60 mils. Since it is all-PTFE, CrossFilm™ can be used in most industrial settings such as chemical processing, pharmaceutical, clean room, and food processing applications. CrossFilm™ is non-combustible and unaffected by ultraviolet exposure.
